 FAQ

Q.   What is body sculpting?

A.   Body sculpting refers to various non-invasive treatments that aim to contour and shape the body by reducing unwanted fat and tightening the skin.

These treatments typically utilize technologies such as CryoSculpt, vacuum therapy, radio frequency therapy (RF) and ultrasound to achieve desired results.

Q.   How does CryoSculpt work?

A.   CryoSculpt, also known as cryolipolysis, works by targeting and freezing fat cells in specific areas of the body. The cold temperature damages the fat cells, causing them to crystallize and eventually die. Over time, the body naturally eliminates these dead fat cells, resulting in a more sculpted appearance.

Q.   What does CryoSculpt feel like?

 A.  As the cooling begins during the first few minutes, you will feel minimal discomfort, slight pressure, and intense cold. This soon dissipates.

During treatment, many people read, watch videos, work on their laptop, or even take a nap.

Q.    How much of a decrease in fat cells does CryoSculpt provide?

  A.     With each session you are able to decrease the number of treated fat cells by about 20%. Each additional treatment further enhances your results, ridding you of an additional 20% of the treated fat cells per session.

With CryoSculpt at Body Sculpting by Design, it’s easy to sit back, relax and reduce that stubborn fat.

Q.    What is RF therapy?

A.     RF therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses RF energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin. The controlled heat stimulates collagen production and tightens the skin, helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, cellulite, and sagging skin.

Q..    How does ultrasound technology help with body sculpting?

A.    Ultrasound technology, when used in body sculpting treatments, employs high-frequency sound waves to target and disrupt fat cells. The energy from the ultrasound waves causes the fat cells to vibrate and eventually break down. The body then metabolizes and eliminates the released fat through natural processes.

Q.     Are these treatments safe?

A.     Yes, body sculpting treatments such as CryoSculpt, RF therapy, and ultrasound are generally considered safe when performed by qualified professionals. However, it's important to consult with a trained practitioner to ensure the treatment is suitable for your specific needs.

Q.     How long does each treatment session usually last?

A.   The duration of each treatment session can vary depending on the specific technology used, the treatment area, and the individual's goals. Typically, a session can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Your provider will be able to provide a more accurate estimate based on your personalized treatment plan.

Q.     How many sessions are recommended for optimal results?

A.    The number of sessions required for optimal results can vary depending on factors such as the individual's body composition, treatment goals, and the technology used. In many cases, a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart is recommended to achieve the desired outcome. Your provider will assess your situation and create a customized treatment plan for you.

Q.     Is there any downtime or recovery period after these treatments?

A.   One of the advantages of non-invasive body sculpting treatments is that they typically involve minimal to no downtime. Most people can resume their regular activities immediately after the session. However, some individuals may experience temporary redness, swelling, or mild discomfort, which usually subsides within a few days.

Q.     Are the results permanent?

A.   The results of body sculpting treatments are intended to be long-lasting. Once fat cells are eliminated or reduced, they do not typically regenerate. However, it's important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise and a balanced diet, to prevent new fat deposits from forming and to maintain the achieved results.

Q.     Who is an ideal candidate for these treatments?

A.  Body sculpting treatments can benefit individuals who have small pockets of stubborn fat, loose or sagging skin, or cellulite and wish to improve their body contours.
